Ghost stories are great because, like science fiction, they allow so many different situations and characters to be explored by the writer.
I quite like humorous ghost stories. In Ghosthouses - a short ghostly story about a real estate agency for ghosts by Rob Hopcott, George finds he is unexpectedly deceased and needs to find somewhere to haunt. Naturally, he turns to his local real estate agency in search for a desirable dwelling and that’s where his troubles start.
On the other hand, a nice ghost story for Christmas can go down quite well. In Countryside storytelling tales of the strange and unexpected - a short ghostly musical story by Rob Hopcott, we find Tom in his favourite country inn and looking for somebody to sit in the storytelling chair to tell a story for Christmas to the gathered regulars. A slightly built pale faced lady wearing a red cape enters and agrees to tell a Christmas story that leaves her listeners stunned.
